Home working can be bad as office-based work for cellulite and skin firmness - and then some
Remember the good old days that we used to complain about how bad office work is for our leg health and appearance? How long hours at our office desks causes water retention, loose skin and cellulite? How crisps and chocolates at the vending machine make the situation worse?
In hindsight, for many people these were the good days. At least those days we had to commute to the office, which meant that we used to walk at least partially to work. Some used to run or cycle to work.
Nowadays, for remote workers the commute to work is a five-second affair, from the bedroom to the study or living room, which means severe inactivity.
How sedentary work causes water retention, cellulite and skin laxity
Inactivity is known to cause both skin laxity, poor circulation/water retention and fat accumulation. And sugar-rich and fat-rich foods obviously do not help either in those three departments, also undermining circulation and skin firmness and boosting fat accumulation, including hypodermal fat accumulation, i.e. cellulite.

Or, how sedentary work can be much better for your skin and overall health
Of course, home-based office work can be better than office-based work.
You can fill the fridge with healthy foods, not the horrid sweets and crisps found in the ready supply at the office or convenience stores near the office.
And you can walk, run and cycle before your office day starts in the morning, during your lunch time or after your your day’s work is done. And given in most jobs there is flexibility, you can even do a full-on, 1 to 2-hour workout during your lunchtime, as opposed to the 30-40 minutes you could master back in the olden office days.
The combination will boost skin tightness, actually reducing cellulite and restoring good blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.
All in all, remote office work is what you make it. It can free you up from the constraints of the office (convenience food, limited movement) or it can make things worse, if you are stuck at home and fill your cupboard and fridge with convenience food.
