What causes loose skin and cellulite after lipedema liposuction surgery?
Surgery is the only solution to lipoedema, a condition of unknown cause, very poorly understood by science and with no other good medical treatment.
As lipoedema liposuction removes fat that used to occupy extra volume under the skin, and as excess skin was generated by your body to accommodate that volume, after losing the fat volume with surgery you are left with excess skin, which looks loose and thin.
Likewise, cellulite does not increase after surgery, it just becomes more evident as skin becomes less stretched, allowing the collagen bands under the skin surface to pull the skin deeper than when skin is was taut, due to the fat volume.
(Of course, lipedema surgery only removes subcutaneous fat, i.e. fat UNDER the skin, not cellulite which is fat INSIDE the skin. Lipedema liposuction CANNOT remove cellulite.)
There is no magical non-surgical solution to removing lipedema fat accumulation (none works, including cavitation, RF, HIFU, massage etc). Liposuction, performed by a specially trained surgeon with good experience in lipedema surgery, remains the gold standard for lipedema treatment. However, such surgery does leave behind loose skin and cellulite.

How to lift/tighten skin and reduce cellulite after lipoedema surgery
The best SAFE technology to tighten/lift skin, without resorting to intrusive abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) or thighplasty (thigh lift) surgery and the large scars and fibrosis that these entail, is high-power, deep-acting radiofrequency (superficial or low power RF is a waste of time and money).
